The first clip we go through highlight a sailing segment , as Nor swim around a river on a boat while passing through gates . While that section does n’t appear to be candid - ended , Nor has much more elbow room to move around compare to former game . It ’s a small touch that draw the world feel a bite more amply gain outside of traditional puzzle chambers .
The 2d snipping evince off a chapter that was built around unfolding cube . It looks like your standard Monument Valley floor at first , with Nor exploring a misrepresented stratum that ’s constructed like an M.C. Escher house painting . The twist is that players can change the pathway by tapping to unfold cubes in the scenery , reconstructing the elbow room . It ’s the kind of intellect - bending visual hook that the series is built on , and one that shows that Ustwo is n’t throwing out that strength in favour of something bigger .
We ’ve only construe a very small chunk of gameplay so far , but there ’s safe reason to be frantic about it based on that . Monument Valley 3looks like it ’s puzzle close to the mind - bending puzzle formula that made the first two games genius , but scaling up in measured ways with young puzzler hooks and gameplay ideas that expand the series .
